Teach Claude to build for Shipbetter
The Shipbetter skill is a short instruction file that makes Claude produce artifacts already wired for deployment: accounts by default, mobile-sized inputs that don't trigger iOS zoom, our SDK for data and AI and photos, and none of the patterns that slow a conversion down.
Set it up once
- Download the skill file: SKILL.md
- In the Claude app, go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills and add it as a custom skill. (No skills menu on your plan? Paste the file's contents at the start of a conversation instead — same effect for that chat.)
- Build like you already do. When you mention Shipbetter, Claude follows the house rules automatically.
What it fixes
- Artifacts arrive written against our SDK — deploys skip straight to build, the fastest path.
- User accounts included by default, with each person’s data private to them.
- Inputs sized so iOS Safari doesn’t zoom-jump when your family taps a form.
- Thumb-sized buttons, app-like layouts, home-screen-ready design.
- No localStorage, no invented CSS classes, no baked-in demo data, no pasted API keys.
Pairs well with the Claude connector — with both, you describe an app, Claude builds it to spec and deploys it, and the link arrives in the same conversation.
