Terms of service

Last updated July 5, 2026

What Shipbetter is

Shipbetter (shipbetter.net) turns code artifacts you provide into websites we host for you, each on its own subdomain (and, on some plans, your own domain). It's operated as a paid subscription service, currently $19–49 per month depending on plan. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

Your account

You're responsible for your account and everything deployed from it. Keep your password to yourself, give us a real email address, and be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live). We can refuse or close accounts that break these terms.

Your content

Everything you deploy stays yours — code, data, assets. You give us only the license we need to host it: to store it, build it, and serve it on the web at your chosen address. We don't claim ownership and we don't reuse your content for anything else.

Acceptable use

Don't use Shipbetter to host anything illegal, or anything designed to harm people or their computers. That includes (but isn't limited to) malware, phishing pages, spam or spam infrastructure, scams and deceptive impersonation, content that infringes others' rights, and content that's illegal where you or we operate. Don't attack the platform itself or other customers' sites. We may suspend or remove sites that violate this section — where practical we'll tell you why, but in urgent cases (active phishing, malware) we'll act first.

Billing

Plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. New accounts get a free trial; you won't be charged until it ends. You can cancel anytime from your billing portal — cancellation stops future charges and your sites stay up through the end of the paid period. We don't generally offer refunds for partial months, but if something went genuinely wrong, email us and we'll be reasonable.

Your data after cancellation

After your subscription ends, your sites go offline. We keep your data (source, databases, assets) for 30 days so you can come back or export it, then delete it permanently. You can download a backup of any site at any time while your account is active.

Service quality

We work hard to keep the service fast and available, but Shipbetter is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise uninterrupted uptime, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow parts of this limitation, so it applies to the fullest extent permitted.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change meaningfully affects your rights, we'll email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Shipbetter after a change means you accept it.

Getting in touch
